Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine- Department of Prosthodontics Summary: The present study is a randomized clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy of horizontal maxillary alveolar ridge augmentation by collagen membrane with a mixture of 1:1 autogenous and ABBM versus titanium mesh with the same mixture. 2.Twenty patients seeking implant rehabilitation for the maxilla were selected from the outpatient clinic of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Cairo University. 10 sites were horizontal augmented by collagen membrane and the other 10 sites were augmented using titanium mesh. 3.All patients were regularly assessed both clinically and radiographically up to 6 months post-operatively. 4.Conclusions: 5.Guided bone regeneration using native Collagen membrane and Titanium mesh as a barrier with a mixture of 1:1 autogenous and ABBM are viable techniques of horizontal augmentation for deficient maxillary ridges
