Dissertation note: Thesis (M.Sc.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Science - Department of Botany and Microbiology Summary: The purpose of this research to synthesize silver nanoparticles (Ag - NPS) in composite for possible use in biological application.Bacterial infections continue to be a significant challenge particularly after dominance of drug resistance (DR) organisms, this research was to investigate the potential of silver nanoparticles to contribute to managements of gram negative bacterial infection. In first part: Silver nanoparticles were synthesized by Biological methods and characterized by UV-visible spectroscopy, zeta Potential and Transmission Electron microscope. In second part: Antimicrobial activity of NPS and testing the effect of different concentrations of CT- Ag-NPS on gram negative pathogenic bacterial isolates from diabetic feet{u2019}s patients were achieved and choice highly potent concentration. These results may suggest avenues for future work in developing more targeted drug therapies or vaccine for managing bacterial infection using polymeric nanoparticles
