Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Medicine - Department of Radio-Diagnosis Summary: Objectives: Ultrasonography and Color Doppler examination has become more commonly performed over the past decade, due to being available, safe and relatively easy procedure. In the present study, the main objective was to prove the ultrasonography and color doppler ability in the diagnosis and classification of different superficial soft tissue vascular anomalies and its importance in the follow up after treatment. Methods: vascular anomaly ultrasonographic and Doppler examination of 60 patients (42 female and 18 males ) was performed using high frequency (7-14MHz) probe, if treatment is applied , examination before and after therapy was done and comparison was performed to delineate the effect of it . Results: The preliminary results have shown the great role of ultrasonography in the diagnosis , classification and treatment follow up of different superficial soft tissue vascular anomalies Conclusion: Ultrasound is an easy, safe and reliable method of investigation of superficial soft tissue vascular anomalies
