Purpose: to determine effect of theraBite exercises versus ketoprofen phonophoresis on tempromandibular joint pain and trismus after tonsillectomy. Methods: The vernier calliper gauge to measure maximum mouth-opening ability of the patient, visual analogue scale for the assessment of pain were used. Mandibular Function Impairment Questionnaire to assess tempromandibular joint pain disorders was also applied. Forty patients of both sexes with ages 15 to 22 years suffering from tempromandibular joint pain and trismus following tonsillectomy. Patients were randomly assigned into two groups equal in number; each group was consisted of 20 patients. The first study group (A) was composed of 20 patients who received the routine medical care in addition to the theraBite exercises five times per day. The second group (B) was composed of 20 patients who received the routine medical care in addition to the ketoprofen 2.5% gel phonophoresis on the mastication muscles area for five minutes for each side of the face at an intensity of 1.0 w/cm² and frequency of 1.0 MHz with pulsed mode. Measurements was conducted before starting the treatment as a first record and at the end of the third week of treatment as a second final record. Results: Results showed that both the theraBite exercises and ketoprofen phonophoresis on tempromandibular joint pain and trismus after tonsillectomy were effective and beneficial in decreasing the tempromandibular joint pain and trismus, as evidenced by significant decrease in visual analogue scale with percentage of change between pre and post-treatment mean values of visual analogue scale in group A was 43.6%, while in group B was 28.1%, significant decrease in mandibular function impairment questionnaire scores with percentage of change between pre and post-treatment median values of mandibular function impairment questionnaire scores in group A was 41.4%, while in group B was 36.5% and significant increased in maximum mouth opening with percentage of change between pre and posttreatment mean values of maximum mouth-opening in group A was 110%, while in group B was 103%r tonsillectomy but theraBite exercises was more fruitful than ketoprofen phonophoresis
