Purpose of the study:This study was conducted to determine the effect of extracorporeal shock wave therapy on palmar fibromatosis. Subjects: Thirty patients with age ranged from 50 to 70 years had been diagnosed clinically and referred by physician as they suffered frompalmar fibromatosis (Dupuytren{u2019}s Disease) stage 1 according to (Tubiana classification ) .Groups:The patients were assigned randomly into two groups (A, B) equal in numbers;Group Areceived extracorporeal shock wave therapy (1 session per week for six weeks) in addition to the traditional physical therapy protocol. While, group B. received traditional physical therapy protocol which include (Ultra sound, Splinting, Stretching and Massage) (2 sessions per week) for six weeks. Evaluation was done two times pre and postsixweeks treatment using JAMAR hand grip dynamometer and Arabic modified quick DASH 9 scale.Results:The results of this study revealed that there was a statistically significant increase in mean value of hand grip dynamometer and significant decrease in the modified Arabic DASH score in the group (A) when compared with its corresponding value in group (B)Conclusion:it could be concluded that extracorporeal shock wave therapy was an effective method in reducing palmar fibromatosis
