Dissertation note: Thesis (Ph.D.) - Cairo University - Faculty of Physical Therapy - Department of Physical Therapy for Cardiopulmonary and Geriatrics Disorder Summary: The aim of this study was to compare between the effects of mulligan versus reflexology on frozen shoulder in diabetic patient. Sixty diabetic patients (30 men and 30 women) were selected from outpatient clinic of physical therapy department who referred from orthopedic clinic of Basyon El Markarzy Hospital, El Gharbia, their age ranged between 40 to 65 years. The patients were assigned into two equal groups in number:- Group A (mulligan Group) consisted of 30 patients (15 men,15women). who received mulligan, three time per week for 6 weeks and group B (Reflexology Group) consisted of 30 patients (15 men,15 women), who received reflexology, three times a week, for 6 weeks. Range of motion of shoulder in all directiones was measured at the beginning and after the treatment program for both groups. The results of this study revealed a highly statistical significant improvement in all variables in group (A) ,the flexion of shoulder (85.73 %) , (abduction (88.98%) , internal rotation (85.94%) , external rotation rotation (83.47 %) ,extension(98.01%) and slight increase in variables in group (B) flexion shoulder (57.63%) ,abduction (64.47%) , internal rotation (50.01%) ,external rotation rotation(50.94%) ,extension(62.25%) .So Mulligan is one of the physical therapy treatment options could be used for increasing ROM in diabetic patients with frozen shoulder. Mulligan can be used in combination with exercise therapy to increase ROM in diabetic patients suffering from frozen shoulder. Patients were evaluated before and after treatment for the severity of shoulder pain and revealed an improvement in pain and that there were no statistically significant differences between group (A) and group (B). Conclusion: Based on the finding of this study, it can be concluded that patients with Diabetic frozen shoulder who received mulligan exhibited statistically highly significantly greater improvements in shoulder range of motion when compared to group receiving reflexology
