Introduction: Low level laser therapy LLLT has been used as a treatment modality to enhance healing of tissues. In dentistry, it is used to enhance healing of various oral and dental conditions and as a postsurgical healing modality. In recent years it was used to enhance osteointegration of dental implants. However, there are controversies regarding this later effect. Aim: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of low level laser therapy on bone regeneration around dental implants using immunohistochemistry and Radiographic assessment Methodology:The research was approved before conduction by the Medical Research Ethics Committee Of the National Research Centre, Egypt (approval #11029) and all patients signed the informed consent.Seven female patients 35-45 years were recruited for the research. Split mouth design was applied so that the patient is his own control. Each patient received two dental implants at each side of the same jaw at the exaxt same site at each side. Side received LLLT was randomly selected to ensure no bias. Follow up was donefor 3 monthsto assess bone regeneration around dental implants using semi direct digital radiograph, Cone Beam CT CBCT, crevicular fluid levels of Osteoprotegrin OPG and Tumor necrosis Factor Alfa TNF-Ü Results: Comparing both sides, the statistical results showed no significant difference between the non-laser side and the laser side
