There are many projects in which floating columns are adopted, especially above the ground floor, where transfer girders are employed, so that more open space is available in the ground floor.Hence, this is a study of the behavior of a multi-storey building in which some storeys are considered for commercial purpose and remaining storeys are for residential purpose. Finally, analysis and results in the high rise building such as storey drifts, storey displacement, and Base shear were shown in this study. Analysis was carried out by using Extended Three-Dimensional Analysis of Building Systems (ETABS) Software
