Thirty-six spastic diplegic children of both sexes , their age ranged from seven to ten years old , chosen from the outpatient clinic of Cairo university children hospital and from Kamal shoukry pediatric rehabilitation center (KSPRC), Giza, Egypt. They were classified randomly into two groups of equal number ( study and control group). The control group received traditional physical therapy exercise and classical gait training. The study group received the same program of control group and gait training on spring gravity bar. Children were selected by Gross Motor Function Classification System(GMFCS) and assessed using two dimension (2D),video based gait assessment system and pediatric modified dynamic gait index ; before and after three months of application of the treatment program. The results of this study revealed statistically significant improvement in the measured variables of the study and control groups. From the obtained results of this study, it could be concluded that gait training on spring gravity bar can be included as alternative therapeutic modality to enhance gait pattern and gross motor function in children with diplegic cerebral palsy
