The main target of the present study was to evaluate and improve the utilization of some agro - industrial by - products in growing rabbit diets , through three experimentsFirst experiment was to define the effective level of thyme and sage , as natural growth promoters , where New Zealand White rabbits , about 5 weeks of age were fed on diets , without supplementation (control diet) , or supplemented with either thyme or sage leaves , each at 025 , 050 or 075 of the total dietIn 2nd experiment the growing rabbits were fed on diets without tomato by - products (control diet) , or with tomato by - products at 10 , 20 or 30in hundred of the diet (3333 , 6666 and 100in hundredof the clover hay) Each of the tomato by - products level was fed without medicinal plant supplementation (+00) or with 050 thyme or 025in hundred sage , which were the best levels obtained from the first experimentIn 3rd experiment the growing rabbits were fed on diets without orange by - products (control diet) , or with orange by - products at 7 , 14 or 21in hundred of the diet (or 3333 , 6666 and 100in hundred of the yellow corn) Each of the orange by - products level was fed without medicinal plant supplementation (+00) or with 050 thyme or 025in hundred sage , as in the second experiment
