Stroke is the most common life threatening neurological disease and the third cause of death after heart diseases and cancerOur study included fifty (50) patientsThirty seven (37) patients were suffering from ischemic stroke and thirteen (13) patients were suffering from haemorrhagic strokeIn our study , we found that the most common medical complications encountered were GIT complications (constipation , diarrhea , haematemsis , vomiting and melena) At least , one of these was encountered in 80
