Deltamethrin is a potent neuroactive pyrethroidLiterature reports of the in vivo potency of pyrethroid however , vary in their magnitude according to the vehicle and route of exposureOn the other hand some recent studies prove that some of natural and synthetic chemical compound can improve more or resist the pesticdal effectTherefor , the present studies systematically compared the neurotoxic effect of deltamethrin (1112 mg / kg) delivered to adult male rats either individually or incombination with ML or DL as adjuvants (one single dose) or selenium and antox drug as antioxidantsThe parameters under investigation included the levels of monoamines (epinephrine , norepinephrine , dopamine and serotonin) and the concentration of some free amino acids (aspartic acid , glutamic acid , serine , asparagine , glycine , taurine , histidine , GABA and alanine) in brain and bloodAlso , the present investigation extends to include total protein , glucose , enzymatic activities of aspartate transaminase (AST) , alanine transaminase (ALT) in serum and cholinesterases in serum and brain tissueHistopathological examination among treated groups were also recorded in brain , liver , kidney , lung and spleen tissuesHowever , significant alteration in monoamines , amino acid concentrations , total protein and glucose contents were detected among all animal groups under investigationMild induction in transaminases and inhibition of acetylcholinesterase were also investigatedMicroscopical aspects revealed general degenerative changes in brain , liver , kidney , lung and spleen tissues
