Aqeous extracts of nine Egyptian plant species in six families were evaluated for hepatoprotective activity in rats using CC14 induced liver toxicity.At a dose of 200mg\\kg b.wt.aqueous extracts hyphaene thebaica fruits , nigella sativa seeds , vitus venifera leaves and zea mays (style and stigma) were revealed a significant decrease in serum ALT , AST and ALP activities than that of group given CC14
