Subjects and methods: Thirty multiparous women suffering from sacro-iliac joint pain (for at least 3 months after delivery), were participated in this study. They were selected randomly from the outpatient clinic of orthopedic in El Maadi Military Hospital. Their ages were ranged from 25-35 years old, their body mass index (BMI) didn't exceed 30 kg/m² and their number of parity was ranged from 2-4 children. All patients were divided randomly into 2 groups equal in number as study group (A) & control group (B) as the following: Study group (group A):This group was consisted of 15 patients. Each patient in this group had received LLLT on her SIJs (90 seconds for each SIJ) 3 times \ week for 4 weeks .Also she was asked to perform core strengthening exercises for her (abdominal, back, pelvic floor muscles and diaphragm)for 60mintes,3times per week for 4 weeks .In the same time, each patient was advised to wear a sacro-iliac belt all the day and take it off only during sleep and taking a shower throughout the treatment course(4 weeks).Control group (group B):This group was consisted of 15 patients. Each patient in this group was asked to perform core strengthening exercises (abdominal, back, pelvic floor muscles and diaphragm) for 60 minutes, 3 times / week for 4 weeks .In the same time, each patient was advised to wear a sacroiliac belt all the day and take it off only during sleep and taking a shower throughout the treatment course (4 weeks). Results: The results of this study revealed that both groups showed statistically (p<0.001) highly significant decrease in VAS scores and serum cortisol level after treatment course but by comparing two groups after treatment course it was found that the percentage of decrease in VAS scores and serum cortisol level was more pronounced and more noticeable in group (A) when compared with group (B). Conclusion: It could be concluded that, laser therapy augmented by sacroiliac belt and strengthening exercises for core muscles was more effective than using sacroiliac belt and performing strengthening exercises for core muscles alone in relieving sacroiliac joint pain after delivery ER -
