N2  -   هدفت الدراسة إلي توضيح دور منصب ولي العهد دراسة مقارنة بين حالتي دولة الكويت والمملكة العربية السعودية. تبدأ الفترة الزمنية للدراسة تبدأ من عام 1978م وحتى عام 2022م. بناء على ذلك انطلقت الدراسة من سؤال بحثي رئيسي مفاده: ما هي محددات دور ولي العهد في النظم السياسية الخليجية مع التركيز على حالتي دولة الكويت والمملكة العربية السعودية ؟ واعتمدت الدراسة على نظرية الدور. من أهم نتائج الدراسة يحدد في أغلب التشريعات الشروط الواجب توافرها في ولي العهد، ومن أهم هذه الشروط: شرط النسب، والذكورة. من أهم المحددات التي أثرت على تغير دور منصب; The study aims to clarify the role of the position of the Crown Prince, a comparative study between the cases of the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study period starts from 1978 to 2022. Accordingly, the study started from a main research question: What are the determinants of the role of the Crown Prince in the Gulf political systems, with a focus on the cases of the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia? The study has relied on the role theory. One of the most important conclusions of the study was that the conditions that must be met by the Crown Prince are determined in most legislation, and among the most important of these conditions: the condition of lineage, masculinity. One of the most important determinants that affected the change in the role of the Crown Prince in the Gulf political systems is the law, in addition to the relationship and closeness of the Crown Prince to the Emir, which makes the Crown Prince play a more role in the political system of the state, whether at the internal or external level. The determinants of the role of the Crown Prince are similar in both the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where Kuwait and Saudi Arabia have a constitution and a system of governance that determines how the Crown Prince assumes the position, despite the difference in the way this system is established, as the Kuwaiti constitution was drafted through consultation with the ruling family and the National Assembly
