        تعتبر السياحة من أكثر الصناعات بالغة التأثير فى الظروف الاجتماعية والاقتصادية لأى مجتمع. ويرجع ذلك إلى كونها أصبحت من أهم القطاعات الاقتصادية في كثير من دول العالم، وبالتالي تكتسب التنمية السياحية أهمية متزايدة نظرا لدورها الهام والبارز الذي تلعبه في نمو اقتصاديات هذه الدول، هذا وتعتبر سيوة مقصدا سياحيا يلبي رغبات أنماط مختلفة من السائحين وذلك لما تملكه من مقومات طبيعية خلقها الله عزوجل، ومقومات بشرية من صنع الإنسان.
	جاء الهدف من هذه الدراسة متمثلأ فى التعرف على مقومات ومعوقات الجذب السياحى فى واحة سيوة ومدى إنعكاس ذلك على عملية التنمية السياحية المستدامة بالواحة وذلك من خلال الربط بين صناعة السياحة وحركة التنمية هناك. كما هدفت إلى رصد مقومات الجذب السياحى فى سيوة وكذلك التعريف بأنواع السياحة هناك ومدى تأثير مقومات الجذب السياحي على التنمية السياحية في سيوة. وسعت كذلك الدراسة إلى رصد معوقات الجذب السياحي وتأثيرها على عملية التنمية السياحية المستدامة وكذلك محاولة وضع تصور مقترح لتعظيم الاستفادة من المقومات السياحية وتحقيق التنمية السياحية. 
       اعتمدت هذه الدراسة على المنهج التاريخى وكذلك على المنهج الأنثروبولوجى الميدانى، وقد أجريت هذه الدراسة على فئات مختلفة من سكان واحة سيوة، وقد بلغ قوام العينة 100 مبحوث (استبيان = 60، مقابلات = 40)، يتراوح أعمارهم ما بين 70:20 عام. وقد  توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج:
(1) تعتبر سيوة مقصدا سياحيا يلبي رغبات أنماط مختلفة من السائحين وذلك لما تملكه من عوامل جذب طبيعية، بشرية، ثقافية واثرية. 
(2) تمتلك سيوة العديد من مقومات الجذب الأثرية التي من الممكن أن تجعلها فى المكانة الأولى من الناحية الأثرية بعد منطقة الأقصر وأسوان.  
(3) تتوافر لدى واحة سيوة كافة إمكانيات أنواع السياحة ولكن للأسف أغلب هذه الأنواع غير مفعلة بالشكل الكامل واللائق كما أنها لا تحظى بالاهتمام الكافى أو الدعاية اللازمة للترويج السياحي لها. كما يوجد العديد من معوقات الجذب السياحى بالواحة.  
(4) تتميز عملية التنمية فى مجتمع سيوة بالبطء الشديد فى تاثير حركة السياحة على المستوى المعيشى للأفراد وذلك بسبب عدم وجود استراتيجية واضحة ومحددة لتطوير وتنمية سيوة.
; Tourism is considered one of the most influential industries in the social and economic conditions of any society. This is due to the fact that it has become one of the most important economic sectors in many countries of the world, and thus tourism development is gaining increasing importance due to its important and prominent role that it plays in the growth of the economies of these countries. It was created by God Almighty, and human elements made by man.
	The aim of this study was to identify the constituents and obstacles of tourism attraction in Siwa Oasis and the extent of its reflection on the process of sustainable tourism development in the oasis, by linking the tourism industry and the development movement there. It also aimed at monitoring the elements of tourism attractions in Siwa, as well as defining the types of tourism there and the extent of the impact of the elements of tourism attractions on tourism development in Siwa. The study also sought to monitor the obstacles of tourism attractions and their impact on the process of sustainable tourism development, as well as trying to develop a proposed vision to maximize the use of tourism potentials and achieve tourism development.
       This study relied on the historical approach as well as the field anthropological approach. This study was conducted on different groups of residents of Siwa Oasis. The sample consisted of 100 respondents (questionnaire = 60, interviews = 40), with ages ranging between 20 and 70 years. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: 
(1) Siwa is considered a tourist destination that meets the desires of different types of tourists, due to its natural, human, cultural and archaeological attractions. 
(2) Siwa possesses many elements of archaeological attraction that could place it in the first place from an archaeological point of view, after the regions of Luxor and Aswan. 
(3) Siwa Oasis has all the potentials of tourism types, but unfortunately most of these types are not fully and properly activated, and they do not receive enough attention or publicity to promote tourism. There are also many obstacles to attracting tourists in the oasis. 
(4) The development process in Siwa society is characterized by a very slow pace in the impact of tourism on the standard of living of individuals, due to the lack of a clear and specific strategy for the development of Siwa.
