<br/><br/> الدراسة تندرج ضمن الدراسات الاجتماعية، وظهر من خلالها التباين بين طبقات المجتمع المصري، وما تمتع به الصعيد بطبعه الخاص بكونه مجتمعًا واحدًا تسوده مجموعة من القِيم المتوارثة كالعادات، والتقاليد التي تمسَّك بها وطبَّقها بشكل إلزامي وقدَّسها بشكل كبير، وتشابهت تلك العادات والتقاليد بمعظم القرى والمدن بالصعيد، وحرص أفراده على أداء طقوسها، وهو ما تمَّ تسليط الضوء عليه ودراسته.<br/>تتناول هذه الدراسة الحياة الاجتماعية لسكان الصعيد عهد محمد علي (1805–1848) والدور الذي لعبته الحكومة بمختلف المجالات منها الصحة والتعليم، كيفية التعامل مع الأزمات والثورات.<br/>الدافع وراء تلك الدراسة هو تقديم رؤية واضحة المعالم لطبيعة الحياة الاجتماعية بالصعيد عهد محمد على في ضوء السياسات الحكومية عهد محمد علي ومدى نجاحها في تحقيق أهدافها وحالة القبول أو الرفض من جانب طبقات المجتمع، كما رسمت صورة واقعية للمجتمع وأوضاعه الاقتصادية والسياسية، وانعكاس ذلك على الحياة الاجتماعية<br/>  The study falls within the social studies, and through it appeared the discrepancy between the layers of Egyptian society, and what Upper Egypt enjoyed with its own nature as a single society dominated by a set of inherited values such as customs and traditions that adhered to and applied compulsorily and sanctified greatly, and those customs and traditions were similar to most villages and cities in Upper Egypt. And the keenness of its members to perform its rituals, which was highlighted and studied.<br/> This study deals with the social life of the inhabitants of Upper Egypt during the reign of Muhammad Ali (1805-1848) and the role played by the government in various fields, including health and education, and how to deal with crises and revolutions.<br/> The motive behind this study is to provide a clear vision of the nature of social life in Upper Egypt during the reign of Muhammad Ali in the light of government policies during the reign of Muhammad Ali and the extent of its success in achieving its goals and the state of acceptance or rejection on the part of the classes of society. It also painted a realistic picture of society and its economic and political conditions, and its reflection on life Social.<br/>
