N2  - تطرح رسالة الدكتوراه هذه زاوية جديدة في مجال العلاقات الدولية من خلال توسيع نطاق الفاعلين الدوليين ليشمل "الروابط العائلية العابرة لحدود الدول." وتعتمد في ذلك على نظرية الدور في العلاقات الدولية، وتحلل الدور المحوري الذي قامت به رابطة روتشيلد في مسار تأسيس الدولة اليهودية حتى الإعلان عن قيامها عام 1948. 
تتناول الدراسة المشاركة متعددة الجوانب لرابطة روتشيلد، وتتبع تأثيرهم النشط الذي سبق ظهور الحركة الصهيونية ومنظماتها، وجهودهم المبكرة للترويج لانعتاق اليهودي داخل المجتمعات الأوروبية، التي وضعت الأسس لدورهم الدولي المؤثر. وتكشف الدراسة عن دعم رابطة روتشيلد لمشروع الدولة اليهودية في الفترة الحاسمة 1882 إلى 1948 التي حولت فكرة الدولة اليهودية، إلى مشروع، ثم إلى إعلان دولي بقيام الدولة، وذلك عن طريق استغلال علاقاتهم ونفوذهم مع القوى الكبرى، وعلى وجه الخصوص بريطانيا وفرنسا. كما عملت الرابطة على حماية اليهود من المذابح التي وقعت داخل نطاق الاستيطان في روسيا وشرق أوروبا، وسهلوا هجرتهم إثر ذلك إلى فلسطين، وساهموا في تأسيس أولى المستوطنات اليهودية فيها. وعملت الرابطة طبقا لاستراتيجية حذرة، تجاوزت التحديات التي فرضتها السلطات العثمانية، يليها بعض القيود التي فرضتها سلطة الانتداب، كما نجحت في تحييد المعارضة والمقاومة الفلسطينية الداخلية حتى ثورة البراق.
وتؤكد هذه الدراسة أن تأثير رابطة روتشيلد لم يقتصر على اصدار إعلان بلفور في عام 1917. وانما تطور دورها بعد ذلك عن طريق إنشاء جمعية الاستعمار اليهودي الفلسطينية كأحد أركان نهجهم الاستراتيجي، الذي عمل على تشكيل واعداد العوامل الديموغرافية والجغرافية والاقتصادية اللازمة لإنشاء الدولة اليهودية في فلسيطن. كما عملت الرابطة على التوزاي لحماية اليهود من صعود الأحزاب الفاشية في أوروبا، وقامت بدور لتهسيل هجرة يهود ألمانيا إلى فلسيطن، وذلك عن طريق الضغط على مجلس العموم البريطاني لزيادة حصة المهاجرين إلى فلسطين، والسعي لدى الحكومات الغربية للمساعدة في هذا الملف، وأيضا عن طريق توسيع الاستعاب الاقتصادي داخل فلسيطن. ويبرهن ذلك على التأثير الدائم للرابطة العائلية العابرة للحدود على العلاقات الدولية، التي نجحت استراتيجيتها في نهاية المطاف بإعلان قيام الدولة اليهودية عام 1948 استنادا إلى القرار الصادر عن الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة
; This PhD thesis forges new frontiers within the realm of international relations by broadening the spectrum of influential actors to encompass transnational dynasties. Anchored in the theoretical framework of Role Theory in international relations, the research delves into the pivotal role played by the Rothschild dynasty in shaping the establishment of the Jewish State in 1948. Using the Rothschilds as a case study, the thesis challenges existing narratives and highlights the transformative potential of transnational dynasties in the realm of global affairs.
The research meticulously examines the multifaceted engagement of the Rothschild dynasty, tracing their proactive influence that predates the formal emergence of the Zionist movement. Their early endeavors to advocate for Jewish emancipation within European communities laid the groundwork for their subsequent influential role. Importantly, the study underscores their comprehensive support spanning the pivotal era from 1882 to 1948. Leveraging their networks with major global powers, most notably Britain, and France, the Rothschilds actively shielded Jews from persecution within the Pale of Settlement, facilitated the ensuing Jewish immigration to Palestine, and contributed to the establishment of settlements in Palestine. With strategic insight, they skillfully maneuvered through obstacles presented by Ottoman rulers, the temporary hindrances caused by British Mandate control, and the enduring opposition from within the Palestinian community until the uprising of 1929.
This research defies the conventional notion that the Rothschilds' impact was confined solely to the Balfour Declaration of 1917. The establishment of the Palestine Jewish Colonization Association (PICA) emerges as a cornerstone of their strategic approach. The significant contribution of PICA in molding essential aspects within Palestine, encompassing population dynamics, geographical features, and economic elements, highlights the lasting impact of transnational dynasties on the arena of global diplomacy, and their enduring influence on the landscape of international relations. Beyond diplomatic realms, the research highlights how the Rothschilds played a crucial part in tackling the difficulties confronted by Jewish people amid World War II. They achieved this by enabling Jewish migration to Palestine through economic means. Their substantial power reached not only the British House of Commons but also involved partnerships with significant European governments and activities across the Atlantic in the United States. These combined efforts emphasize the diverse worldwide influence wielded by the Rothschild dynasty
