<br/><br/> The thesis questions the localization of entrepreneurial ideologies of open innovation in Cairo’s co-working spaces, from 2011 to the present. The thesis develops an analysis model that examines the physical and social structure of co-working spaces on three levels (work environment, work arena, and work setting). The model is applied to case studies in Cairo, drawing parallels with David Harvey, Pierre Bourdieu, and Michael Foucault’s critical theories of sociology, and urban economy, demonstrating various forms of control behind ideologies of open innovation as expressed in co-working spaces.  تتناول الرسالة ظاهرة توطين أيديولوجيات ريادة الأعمال العالمية المتمثله فى الابتكار المفتوح فى مساحات العمل المشتركة فى القاهرة من عام 2011 حتى الوقت الحالى. قامت الرسالة بتحليل أمثلة لدراسة الحالة المصرية من خلال توظيف نظريات النقد الاجتماعى فى تحليل سمات مساحات العمل المشتركة وباستخدام أراء منظرين ونقاد فى علم الاجتماع السياسى مثل دافيد هارفى، بيير بورديو، وميشيل فوكو. توصلت الرسالة إلى منهجية تحليل ونقد بربط النظريات الفلسفية فى النقد الاجتماعى بأنماط العمارة والتطورالعمرانى حيث تبين من التحليل إعطاء الأولوية إلى ضغوط الإستثمارالرأسمالية  وتهميش احتياجات المستخدم الأساسى (الشباب) الذى توجهت إليه مساحات العمل المشتركة عند نشأتها.
