N2  - Thirty-four hemiparetic children was ranged in age from 6 to 10 years participated in this study. They were recruited into two groups of equal numbers; one group received the Achilles tenotomy (Group A), while the other group (Group B) received conventional physical therapy with no surgical intervention. Evaluation was done at three intervals, using the Humac Balance System and Quality of Life Questionnaire The findings of the study support the impact of physical therapy, given the emergence of complications after Achilles tenotomy on the long run, which affect the balance and quality of a child's life; 34 طفل من الأطفال المصابين بالفالج الشقي والتي تراوحت اعمارهم من 6 الي 10 سنوات شاركوا بهذه الدراسه , حيث تم تقسيمهم لمجموعتين متساويتين شملت 17 طفل في كل مجموعه ,منهم 17 طفل خضعوا لعملية شق وتر أخيل (المجموعة (أ)), في حين خضع الـ 17 طفل الآخرين لجلسات علاج طبيعي مستمرة دون أي تدخل جراحي (المجموعة (ب)) وتم تقييمهم علي ثلاث مراحل باستخدام جهاز الهيوماك للاتزان واستبيان نوعيه الحياه في الاطفال المصابين بالشلل الدماغي. الخلاصه:تؤيد النتائج التي تم الحصول عليها تأثير العلاج الطبيعي, نظراً لظهور مضاعفات عقب عملية شق وتر أخيل على المدى الطويل,  وهو ما يؤثر على التوازن وجودة الحياة لدى الطفل
