N2  - Onychomycosis is a common nail condition characterized by nail discoloration, onycholysis , nail plate thickening and crumbling . Fractional CO2 laser enhance the absorption of topical antifungal agents, thereby improving the efficacy of topical agents. Q-switched Nd:YAG laser , delivers higher energy in short pulses,  causing a rapid elevation in temperature  with selective photothermolysis and photomechanical disruption in the target area, along with immunological stimulation; یعتبر مرض فطريات الأظافر من الأمراض الجلدیة الشائعة التي یصعب علاجھا. وتظھر طبیا على ھیئة تغير في شكل ولون الأظافر والتي تؤثر بالسلب علي جودة الحياة والتعاملات الأجتماعية.يحسن لیزر ثاني اكسید الكربون التجزیيئ الأظافر المصابة عن طريق تحسين امتصاص الأظافرللمضاد الفطري الموضعي (مادة التيوكونازول) مما يؤدي إلي تحسن كفاءة المضاد الفطري الموضعي .كما يتميز الليزر النبضي التحويلي ان دي ياج بعرض نبضة قصيرة جدا ويكمن الاستفاده من ذلك في الارتفاع السريع لدرجة الحراره والتحلل الضوئى والجزيئي ,وتحفيز المناعه بعد الامتصاص المتعمد للطاقه علي الانسجه المستهدفة مما يؤثر علي فطريات الأظافر دون الضرر بالأنسجه المحيطة
