<br/><br/>  Fifty four patients from both sexes with end stage renal disease maintaining chronic hemodialysis and having moderate to severe xerosis participated in this study. Their ages were ranged from 44 to 60 years. They were randomly assigned into three groups (18 patients for each group): group (A), (B) and (C). phonophoresis increased the effect of hydrocortisone on xerosis cutis compared to topical hydrocortisone.  شارك فى هذه الدراسة 54 مريضا من كلا الجنسين من مرضى الغسيل الكلوي المزمن يعانون من جفاف الجلد من الدرجة المتوسطة إلي الشديدة و تتراوح أعمارهم من٤٤ إلى ٦۰عاماً تم إختيارهم من وحدة الغسيل الكلوي بمستشفى دكرنس العام وتقسيمهم عشوائياً إلى ثلاث مجموعات من عدد متساوي (١٨مريضاً لكل مجموعه)  واستغرقت الدراسة ٤ أسابيع متتالية (١٢جلسة بمعدل ٣جلسات أسبوعيا يوم بعد يوم ) ومما سبق يستنتج أن استخدام تقنية الإنتقال عبرالموجات الفوق صوتية يزيد من فعالية الهيدروكورتيزون على جفاف الجلد في مرضى الغسيل الكلوي المزمن.
