<br/><br/>  52 men , their ages ranges from 55 to 65 years. Twenty six subject (26) assured diagnosis with mild COPD and twenty six (26) healthy subjects (control group) having similar demographic data. We analysed the difference in Activities specific balance confidence scale (ABC) scale , Romberg test (RM) ,Single Leg Stance (SLS) and Timed Up and Go test (TUG) between these two groups and the correlation of these scores with a number of incriminatory factors. Study suggested that balance assessment should be incorporated in the treatment plan of the  COPD patients. Treatment should concentrate on both (static and dynamic) the component. Thus helping the patient to improve their balance and quality of life. Data obtained from both groups regarding static and dynamic balance were statistically analysed and compared.   أجريت هذه الدراسة على اثنين وخمسون مريضًا (من الرجال) الذين تم اختيارهم من مستشفى جامعة جنوب الوادى ، وسيتم تعيين جميع المرضى بشكل عشوائي لمجموعتين متساويتين، تتراوح أعمارهم بين (55-65) سنة. مجموعة تتكون من ستة وعشرون شخصًا (26) تم تشخيصًهم بمرض الانسداد الرئوي المزمن الخفيف وستة وعشرون (26) من الأشخاص الأصحاء (مجموعة التحكم) لديهم بيانات ديموغرافية مماثلة. قمنا بتحليل الاختلاف في مقياس الثقة بالتوازن المحدد للأنشطة (ABC) ، واختبار Romberg (RM) ، والوقفة أحادية الساق (SLS) ، واختبار Timed Up and Go (TUG) بين هاتين المجموعتين وعلاقة هذه الدرجات مع عدد من العوامل المتزايدة. من النتائج الإحصائية السابقة التي تم الحصول عليها من هذه الدراسة، اقترحت الدراسة أنه يجب ان يتم دمج تقييم التوازن في خطة علاج مرضى الانسداد الرئوي المزمن و يجب أن يركز العلاج على المكونين (الثابت والديناميكي). وبالتالي مساعدة المريض على تحسين توازنه ونوعية حياته بعد تحليل ومقارنة البيانات التي تم الحصول عليها من كلا المجموعتين فيما يتعلق بالتوازن الثابت والديناميكي.
