The participants in this study were 30 teachers who were intentionally selected from south Cairo District in the school year 2022-2023. Four instruments were used: a needs analysis questionnaire to EFL teacher's language awareness skills and metacognition; a pre-posttest, an observation checklist and a pre-posttest to measure the language performance of the pupils. The study results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the study groups' pre-posttest mean scores on overall language skills as well as on each of the macro (communicative language awareness, pedagogical knowledge, learning to learn (self-learning), and cultural awareness) and micro (creativity and playfulness, their double meanings and Planning, carrying out, observing, documenting, and reporting the growth of a pupils' language.) skills. A significant difference was found between the pre-post administrations of the teacher's language awareness observation checklist in favor of the post administration.
