<br/><br/> This study was conducted at the neurological outpatient clinics of Faculty <br/>of physical therapy, Deraya University, to investigate the extent to which the<br/>four-cell hydro galvanic bath had a significant improvement on pain and quality <br/>of life in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy<br/> Forty-five patients of both genders were medically referred complaining <br/>from diabetic polyneuropathy. They were selected from the neurological <br/>outpatient clinics of Faculty of physical therapy, Deraya University, their age <br/>ranged from 45 – 55 years old. They were divided randomly into two equal <br/>groups study group (n=20) who received four cell hydro galvanic current in <br/>addition to a selected physical therapy program (proprioceptive training, <br/>stretching and strengthening exercises for arm and leg muscles) and a control <br/>group (n=20) that received only the selected physical therapy program <br/>(proprioceptive training, stretching and strengthening exercises for arm and leg<br/>muscles). All patients were assessed at the beginning of the study and 12 weeks <br/>later. <br/> The diabetic polyneuropathic pain was assessed by the Visual analogue scale <br/>(VAS), sensory and motor conduction studies done by the Neuro pack M1 <br/>Ep/EMG measuring system and the quality of life assessed by the Quality of Life <br/>Scale (QoLS).<br/> Neuropathic pain is prevalent, presenting in approximately two-thirds of <br/>patients with peripheral neuropathy (PN) with minimal variability across its <br/>Chapter VI Summary, Conclusion and Recommendations <br/>87<br/>etiological classifications, and is considered to be one of the most disabling <br/>neuropathic symptoms having a detrimental effect on patients’ mental health and <br/>leading to poor quality of life (QoL) (Zis et al., 2019).<br/> Hydro galvanic baths are a method of combined application of warm fresh <br/>water and low frequency electric current. Procedures can be both general and <br/>local. Mechanism of therapeutic action is based on synergistic effect of two <br/>therapeutic agents. For the moment various studies show that hydro galvanic <br/>therapy is effective in the treatment of diabetic angiopathy, rheumatoid and gouty <br/>arthritis, fibromyalgia and ankylosing spondylitis (Borodulina et al., 2018).<br/> The results of this study showed a significant improvement in the <br/>polyneuropathic pain and the quality of life in patients complaining from radiating <br/>diabetic polyneuropathy who received four cell hydro galvanic current in addition <br/>to a selected physical therapy program (proprioceptive training, stretching and <br/>strengthening exercises for arm and leg muscles) in the study group compared to <br/>the patients in the control group who received the selected physical therapy <br/>program only, as the control group had a percentage of improvement but less than <br/>that in the study groups.<br/> Therefor the four cell hydro galvanic current in addition to a selected <br/>physical therapy program are recommended in physical therapy neurorehabilitation program to patients complaining from diabetic polyneuropathy and <br/>they are considered to be effective, reliable and noninvasive treatment modalities <br/>with motivation.  عنوان البحث:تأثير جهاز الجلفان المائي المكون من أربع خلايا على الالم و جودة الحياه في مرضى إعتلال الأعصاب السكري<br/><br/>الهدف من الدراسه:اجريت هذه الدراسه لتحديد ما إذا كان هناك تأثير علي الألم و جودة الحياه باستخدام العلاج بجهاز الجلفان المائي المكون من أربع خلايا لمدة اثني عشر (12) اسبوعا متتاليين بواقع ثلاث جلسات اسبوعيا يوما بعد يوم في مرضيإعتلالالآعصاب السكريومدة الجلسه 40 دقيقه للمجموعتين.<br/>المرضى : اجريت هذه الدراسه بالعيادات الخارجيه بكلية العلاج الطبيعي - جامعة درايه بالمنيا .<br/><br/>خطة الدراسه:تم اختيار اربعون (40) مريضا من الجنسين كعينة لهذه الدراسه  تتراوح اعمارهم ما بين 45الي 55 عاما يعانون من إعتلالالآعصاب السكري, و تمتوزيع المرضي عشوائيا الي مجموعتين متساويتين: مجموعه الدراسه و المجموعة الضابطه. وقد تلقت مجموعة الدراسه برنامج العلاجبجهاز الجلفان المائي المكون من أربع خلايا بالاضافه الي برنامجالعلاج الطبيعي المختار (التدريب التحسسي وتمارين الإطالة والتقوية لعضلات اليد و القدم), و تلقت المجموعه الضابطه برنامجالعلاج الطبيعي المختار (التدريب التحسسي وتمارين الإطالة والتقوية لعضلات اليد و القدم)فقطو تم تقييم جميع المرضي قبل و بعد البرنامج العلاجي باثني عشر اسبوعا. و تم التقييم باستخدام المقياس التناظري المرئي (VAS), رسم الاعصاب و التخطيط الكهربي للعضلات و مقياس جودة الحياه.<br/><br/>نتائج الدراسه: اظهرت النتائج الاحصائية انه يوجد فروق ذات دلاله احصائيه واضحه بين المجموعتين حيث اظهر العلاجبجهاز الجلفان المائي المكون من أربع خلايا بالاضافه الي برنامجالعلاج الطبيعي المختار لمدة اثني عشر (12) اسبوعا لمجموعة الدراسه انه اكثر تاثيرا و تحسنا علي المرضيحيث وجد تحسن ملحوظ و انخفاض في شدة الالم و تحسن في جودة الحياه لديهم مقارنة بالمجموعه الضابطه التي استخدمت  برنامجالعلاج الطبيعي المختارفقط, و لذلك يوصي باستخدام جهاز الجلفان المائي المكون من أربع خلايا بالاضافه الي برنامجالعلاج الطبيعي المختار ضمن برنامج العلاج الطبيعي التاهيلي لما له من تاثير واضح و فعال و امن في تحسن الألم و جودة الحياه لدي المرضي.<br/>
