<br/><br/> Following the events of the Egyptian pound devaluation, claims in the running construction projects have risen tremendously with contractors claiming for extra costs and in some projects the contractors even claimed for extra time too. Studying the impact of Egyptian pound devaluation on construction projects’ cost and time, comparing the event of devaluation with infitah reform policy in the 1970s and analysing their impact on the construction and real estate sector. At the end of the study a proposed framework as a guideline to how to manage Egyptian pound devaluation claims.  بعد أحداث انخفاض قيمة الجنيه المصري، ارتفعت المطالبات في مشاريع البناء الجارية بشكل كبير مع مطالبة المقاولين بتكاليف إضافية وفي بعض المشاريع طالب المقاولون بوقت إضافي أيضًا. دراسة تأثير تخفيض قيمة الجنيه المصري على تكلفة ووقت مشاريع البناء، ومقارنة حدث تخفيض قيمة العملة بسياسة إصلاح الانفتاح في السبعينيات وتحليل تأثيرها على قطاع البناء والعقارات. في نهاية الدراسة إطار مقترح كخط إرشادي لكيفية إدارة مطالبات تخفيض قيمة الجنيه المصري.
