N2  - For acute worsening of heart failure, the short-term administration of levosimendan, a new inotrope with calcium sensitizing properties, appears to be safer than dobutamine. Also, in acute heart failure after myocardial infarction, levosimendan improved symptoms and halved mortality during the first 72h, a difference in mortality which was maintained over the nex16 months
