<br/><br/> The purpose of this thesis is to demonstrate the design and implementation of a complete 16 - QAM based modem , which may be used in modems designed for telephone channels , satellite systems , point - to - point wireless systems , and mobile cellular telephone systems The implemented hardware platform can be used to implement AM , FM , MFSK , MSK , and MPSK based modems by applying suitable channel - coupling circuits and suitable software modifications The implemented transmitter is based (MNCO HSP45116)
