<br/><br/> A flock of 180 barki ewes reared in maryout research station desert research center was used in this study ewes were allocated to groups of 20-25 each each group was joined with a fertile ram for 35 days ( two successive estrous cycle ) beginning on september 20th estrus was checked at least once daily ewes were considered in estrus ( day 0 ) and mating had occurred when the raddle mark was heavy and evenly distributed or copulation was observed
