The ideal airway requirement for oral surgery are the provision of stable unobstructed airway protection of the lungs from ospiration minimal inferference with the surgical field and a low complication rate . Neither the nasal mask nor endtracheal tube meet these requirement . The laryngeal mask airway provides a third type of aiway for consideration in oral surgery
