<br/><br/> Glasses in the system (1-x) [²⁹Na ₂O - ⁴ AI₂ O₃ - ⁶⁷ B₂ O₃]- x Z n O (. x ₃₅ mol %) have been prepared by the melt quenching technique . Elastic properties X- ray and FT - IR spectroscopic studies have been employed to stdy the role of ZnO on the structure of this glass system . Elastic properties and debye temperature have been investigated using sound wave velocity measurements at 4 MHz at room temperature
