N2  - Two field experiments were conducted at gemmeiza Agricultural Experiments and research station, ARC, El-Gharbia Governorate, during 2006 and 2007 summer seasons to increase intercropped soybean and maize yields. Alternating ridges (70 cm/ridge) between maize and soybean were used as 2 : 2 and 2 : 4, respectively, soybean was grown in alternating ridges by two rows/ridge (N) in normal distribution
