This dissertation focused on analyzing an efficient building is already existed in damascus, Syria. Firstly, the investigation focused on reducing the energy consumption by optimizing the building's orientation, then by applying an external shading device. This work is done by using WUFIplus simulation tool. Secondly, a validation has been done by modeling the same building with TRNSYS 17
