<br/><br/> The original work of the submitted thesis consists of two new research projects entitled: (1) Synthesis and evaluation of the anti-microbial and anti-alzheimer activities of New Heterocycles Containing the 1,3,4-Thiadiazole Moiety and (2) Anti-Alzheimer activity of novel 1,3,4-Thiadiazole Derivatives. In the first project a new series of 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives was prepared and the results of antimicrobial evaluation demonstrate that some of the prepared compounds show excellent activity against all tested microorganisms
