<br/><br/> Rabeprazole solium is a potent proton pump inhibitor used to relieve symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) gastric ulceration and acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding . It is a prodrug which is absorbed unchanged from the intestinal wall then converted to its active form which has inhibitory effect on the ATP -as enzyme in the gastric parietal cells
