The most important theory that explains the development of hepatic encephalopathy is the hyperammonemia theory . The present study was conducted to clarify and compare the prophylactic as well as the therapeutic effects of hibiscus sabdariffa against thioacetamide induced hepatic encephalopathy in Guinea pigs
