N2  - This work has been carried out to investigate, the preparation of nano SiC from waste material (rice husk). The results revealed that by firing the ash at 500{u00B0}C, it maintained its amorphousity; while the firing at 800{u00B0}C led to staring erystallization and decomposition of the amorphous rice husk ash into silica and carbon. By increasting the firing temperature up to 1550{u00B0}C, well crystalline silicon carbide was formed
