<br/><br/> The main aim of this research is to investigate the rehabilitation of failed slopes by various pile systems . In Egypt , several highway slope failures occurred in recent years such as the Naga - Hammadi highway ( 2007 ) Esna - Luxor highway ( 2008 ) and Kafr - Shokr - Aga highway ( 2011 ) attributed to the widening of highways towards the slope of the water canals to avoid land acquisition process as well as the excavation at the toe of the slopes during the process of maintaining the canals and the sudden drawdown of the water level in the canals
