N2  - The green macroalgae , Enteromoroha compressa ( Linnaeus ) Nees , Ulva lactuca Linnaeus and E. linza ( Linnaeus ) Ag . were seasonally collected from Abuqir bay at Alexandria , Egypt . This work aimed to investigate the seasonal environmental condititions which control growth , predominance or disapperance as well as the antioxidant activity of these green seaweeds . The recorded seasonal growth and distribution were in the order : spring >summer > autumn > winter
