<br/><br/> The study in this thesis was performed to evaluate various parameters of gastrointestinal injury induced by exposing rats to acute doses of y-irradiation and the potential value of Ginkgo biloba extract and Ginger powder in preventing changes in these parameters. Male albino rats were treated orally with the extract in a dose of 100 mg/kg for 7 successive days before exposure to acute radiation lecels of 2Gy and 6Gy
