<br/><br/> Cardiac complications are relatively common in Ý thalassemia. Pulmonary hypertension (PHT) is a common yet poorly understood complication of Ý thalassemia. The etiology of PHT in thalassemia is multifactorial. We aimed to detect the presence of PHT, to assess cardiac dimensions and functions and to study the relationship between PHT and various clinical and laboratory characteristics among thalassemia intermedia TI patients
