<br/><br/> Nile is the main source of life in Egypt . Inline and lateral structures like dams weirs and barrages are built along the Nile make use of every single drop of water . This paper studies the consequences of failure of the Old Aswan Dam . Anumerical model was used in the simulation . The geometry file was created using Arc - GIS and HEC Geo - RAS .Different scenarios were assumed for the parameters initial reservoir water level and initial flow in the Nile
