Mid thigh pain can be partially solved by using the locking screws only in comminuted fractures and in situations which are liable to rotation. The use of only one locking screw instead of two scems advisable for these fractures. No statistically significant differences were noted in healing at 12 weeks or 6 months postoperatively, and both groups achieved comparable final functional outcomes ER -
