<br/><br/> The current study was carried out to isolate the ovine leptin gene of our native sheep , to determine its nucleotide sequence , and to produce recombinant ovine leptin For this purpose the following procedures Samples from different fat depots of male sheep were collected on liquid nitrogen and used for RNA extractionA pair of primer was designed to encode the mature ovine leptin gene with additional cloning sitesThese primers and the extracted RNA together with an optimized condition were used to isolate and amplify ovine leptin cDNA through RT - PCR technique The amplified fragment (insert)
