<br/><br/> The essential objective in this thesis is to find a system for enforcing competition by detecting fraud in procurement bidding . We use data mining techniques , to continuously sift through market data and proactively look for odd patterns or anomalous signs that might indicate the existence of bid rigging in procurement . We provide an overiew on data mining and bid rigging , then we propose and experiment with two data mining techniques (decision trees and association rules) for the detection of bid rigging activities in market data
