<br/><br/> This is a cross-sectional study that aims to assess global myocardial functions using pulsed tissue doppler imaging in patients with Ý thalassemia major and the correlation with serum ferritin levels in Ý thalassemia patients. The study included 110 persons 69 multitransfused thalassemics and 41 age and sex matched controls 60% males and 40% females whose ages were varying between 6 and 39 years
