Non - Hodgkin lymphomas are closely related diseases , each involving the malignant transformation of lymphoid cells , but with distinctive morphologic , immunophentypic , gentic and clinical features ( Morton et al., 2009 and Schuetz et al., 2012 ) . In Egypt , it is the fifth most common cancer in both the sexes . The incidence of non - Hodgkin's lymphoma increased steadily from 1995 to 2004 particularly in the elderly population thus , the importance of developing additional strategies for screening and prevention of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma ( Abdelfattah et al., 2007 )
