Retinal damage is one of the most common diseases of the eye . It is caused by many inherited or acquired disorders . One of them macular degeneration , the commonest progressive and irreversible cause of loss of vision after 60 (age related macular degeneration ; AMD) where the retinal pathology is similar to retinal lesion caused by white fluorescent light .
