Prothiaden (TCA) and fluoxetine (SSRI) are types of antidepressant drugs. An antidepressant is a psychiatric medication used to alleviate mood disorders. Their detection and estimation in blood, hair and various tissue samples either ante-mortem (A.M) or post-mortem (P.M) were carried out using qualitative and quantitative techniques. Their toxic effects on the organs of rats are studied by biochemical tests and histopathological examination
