Medical devices associated infections especially CAUT infections continue to be a significant source of morbidity and mortality . These infections are most commonly caused by biofilm producing orgnisms . On studying microbial biofilms in organisms isolated from urinary catheters and comparing their biofilm forming ability through the tube method , the Spectrophotometric method and the congo red agar method , it was found that the TCP method is the most accurate method reflecting biofilm presence , followed by the CRA method
